⭐ New Features

• Evaluations

  • Distressing Encounters are now more clearly labeled on patient evals. When a student (or preceptor) indicates they've had a distressing encounter, the 😐 icon will indicate the distressing patient, alongside the following banner on the patient eval:

  

  • Distressing encounter notifications can be enabled in Settings > Organization > Options > Notifications

  • Instructors who have the "Responds to Distressing Encounters" responsibility will be notified when a student (or preceptor) toggles "Distressing Encounter" on a patient

Students should use the "Distressing Encounter" any time a patient encounter is emotionally challenging—such as those involving death, trauma, or moral distress—prompting instructor follow-up to support their professional growth and well-being.

• Settings

  • Settings > Faculty now hides deactivated faculty members by default. Deactivated faculty members can be viewed by toggling "Show Inactive Profiles" in the upper right corner

  • Added new Faculty Responsibilities:

    • Responds to Distressing Encounters - described above

    • Responds to Resubmitted and Automatically Submitted Evals - evals that have been resubmitted following a rejection, or automatically submitted will show up in the To Do list of any faculty member who has this responsibility

• Scheduling

  • Removed "All Day" option in event creation. All day events should instead be created with a 24 hour duration

  • Added Calendar View Options for events shared across organizations:

    • Scheduled by my org - shows events created by Students and Faculty at your organization

    • Shared with my org - shows events created by Faculty at other organizations with Slots available to Students or Faculty at your organization

    • Scheduled at my org - shows events scheduled at your organization (the Schedule Location) created by Students or Faculty at any organization

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Settings

  • Restored default "Allow Faculty evaluators on Shift Evals" option. If you wish to exclude Faculty evaluators from selection on Shift Evals (and force students to select Preceptors as evaluators), the setting can be toggled in Settings > Organization > Options > Evaluations

  • Fixed issue with Cohort > Faculty list erroring if an Instructor had no cohort membership

  • Fixed profile deletion. Unused profiles (with no associated evals or EMCE Pro Access) can be deleted from Settings > Faculty or Settings > Students

• Evaluations

  • Fixed issue with Requirements Summary widget on eval view for cohorts with courses

  • Approving an eval missing Learning Objectives Scores from the Evaluations > Submitted tab will open the eval in Edit mode to for scoring

  • Cohort requirements with 0 required evals will no longer show in the Evaluations Progress Widget Expanded View

  • Fixed issue with missing PCR fields when editing a Patient Eval from the Shift Eval view

• Scheduling

  • "No Clock Punch" will no longer show on student attendance records if the Attendance feature is disabled in org settings
